Product Description
Our home-made Caramel liqueur is a sweet, caramel-flavored liqueur. It is created according to the old family recipe and following the traditional way of distillation that our grand father, Michael Brettos, used back in 1909. It is produced by mixing and redistilling spirits with natural ingredients, such as fruits, plants and flowers. Caramel liqueur captures the smooth, rich taste and aroma of mouth watering butter scotch. This sweet tasting caramel liqueur can be enjoyed neat or chilled. Caramel liqueur is also great on the rocks or drizzled over desserts like vanilla ice cream or sorbet.
It has 25% alcohol content.
Brettos Liquors is the oldest distillery in Athens. It started operating for the first time back in 1909 at the ground level of an Athenian old mansion in the heart of Plaka. At those premises, his founder Michael Brettos, started producing ouzo and liqueur using the very first, hand-made, distiller.
Today nothing has changed in the traditional distillation process and production. The respect to the past together with the fact that Our production remains small, keeps our quality in a very high standard and makes our liqueurs really rare and distinctive.
Caramel Nut recipe
1 oz creme de cacao
1 oz Caramel liqueur
5 oz soft vanilla ice cream
1 1/2 oz whipped cream chopped nut
Combine creme de cacao, Caramel liqueur, and vanilla ice-cream in an electric blender. Blend at a low speed for a short length of time. Pour into a champagne flute, garnish with whipped cream and chopped nuts, and serve. Enjoy!
