The history of the Distillery-Winery of Thrace starts in northeastern Greece and in particular in the small city of Komotini, where people true to traditions started to produce and bottle ouzo in rudimentary facilities. For years, the following generations continued the production in family distilleries supplying the entire region with extra quality products.
1999: The Distillery-Winery of Thrace expands its production activity to Distillates and Spirits. The production of Tsipouro (grape marc) starts.
Today the Distillery-Winery of Thrace is one of the largest businesses in Greece producing Ouzo and Tsipouro, with a production of 9,500,000 bottles yearly, and is among the leaders in the field of exports. The new generation of Distillery-Winery of Thrace, with the respect for the customers and the devotion to the family traditions, continues to distill and contemplate the future with optimism and great assurance.
